Eddie Hearn deals could see Tom Aspinall out-earn UFC purse

Bigger paydays are allegedly on the horizon for the UFC star.

At the start of the month, Tom Aspinall announced he was teaming up with Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn.

The UFC heavyweight champion became the first major signing of the newly launched Matchroom Talent Agency.

With Hearn by his side, Aspinall is determined to extract every advantage from his position.

As fans wonder how the partnership will pay off, Hearn says he intends to deliver a major financial windfall for Aspinall.

He told iFL TV: “We are closing in on a number of deals for Tom Aspinall.

“Commercial deals where I would say UFC fighters have got to understand the job that we’ll be doing.

“Tom Aspinall, having been with Matchroom Talent Agency for what will be 10 days to two weeks, will make more money in commercial deals than he did for one of his recent fights.

“Within 10 days of working with Matchroom. One of his recent fights, in the last four fights. So they’re leaving a lot of money on the table,” he added.

Just weeks into managing Aspinall, Hearn has vowed to boost the Mancunian’s earnings through commercial deals.

Aspinall has been sidelined since suffering a double-eye poke from Ciryl Gane last October.

As he works his way back to full fitness, he is determined to return to the Octagon as soon as possible – under Hearn’s watchful eye.

It’s expected that more MMA stars will follow Aspinall’s footsteps.

Especially as the fighter pay discrepancy between the two companies has already raised eyebrows among some of the UFC’s biggest stars.
