Devin Haney involved in brawl during Teofimo Lopez vs Shakur Stevenson weigh-ins

Devin Haney was caught up in chaos at Madison Square Garden.

Devin Haney was in attendance as Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson successfully made weight ahead of their WBO super lightweight title fight.

Lopez is putting his title on the line tonight as Stevenson moves up to 140lbs for the first time with the hopes of becoming a four-weight world champion.

Tensions between the pair have reached new heights this week, with Stevenson attempting to confront Lopez face-to-face on stage during the press conference.

Elsewhere, Terence Crawford had his own heated verbal clash with Lopez’s father at the final face-off ahead of The Ring VI card.

While it has mainly been verbal jabs being thrown, that changed on Friday night as fans witnessed the first punch of fight week.

Haney was giving an interview with The Ring, as a brawl broke out behind him.

Attention quickly shifted to the crowd as several men from Haney’s team clashed with fellow boxer Delante ‘Tiger’ Johnson following a heated argument.

In a clip shared by Happy Punch on social media shows Bill Haney, father of three-weight world champion Devin Haney, stepping in to calm things down.

A second brawl later broke out near the exit doors of Madison Square Garden, where ‘The Dream’ was seen to be pushing another man.

The scuffle was quickly broken up by a few bystanders who stepped in to restore some order.

With so much heat surrounding the event, the tension in the air is only just beginning.

Fans are already bracing for more fireworks as Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson lace up the gloves in a much anticipated bout in New York City tonight.
