DAZN announce new five-year deal

The platform has announced a new deal with Matchroom.

DAZN is known as “the global home of boxing”, and for very good reason. In 2018, Matchroom Boxing agreed a five-year deal to have their fights broadcast on the streaming service, and it has been Matchroom’s home ever since.

Another five-year deal was signed in 2021, and DAZN has only added to its roster of assets since. Queensberry Promotions, long a rival and competitor of Matchroom, themselves joined DAZN in April of 2025.

Matchroom have also vastly expanded their stable under DAZN, and they house some of the biggest talents in world boxing. Their titlists include IBF welterweight champion Lewis Crocker, IBF super-welterweight champion Josh Kelly, WBC super-lightweight champion Dalton Smith, IBF super-lightweight champion Richardson Hitchins, two-weight world champion Jesse RodrĂguez, four-weight world champion Shakur Stevenson, and unified light-heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol.

Many former world champions also fight under their roof, and they have previously promoted other titleholders throughout both men and women’s boxing.

Yesterday, Matchroom announced two new shows as part of their stacked upcoming schedule. These were British cruiserweight prospect Pat Brown’s step-up against the dangerous Vasil Ducar and the long-awaited, oft-delayed WBO interim light-heavyweight title clash between Liverpool’s Callum Smith and Cuba’s David Morrell.

This is in addition to the shows they have coming up just this month.

But today, Matchroom Boxing and DAZN announced a new five-year extension deal, prolonging their long-lasting partnership and their stranglehold on the boxing market.

This is good news for Eddie Hearn, his promotional outfit, and all boxing fans around the world, and it is sure to signal some more fantastic nights of boxing in the future.
