Dana White has publicly violated hall of fame boxer and head of Golden Boy Promotions Oscar De La Hoya in an ongoing promoter feud.
In the latest episode of promoter back and forth in boxing, Dana White has violated Oscar De La Hoya in an interview at Zuffa Boxing’s second show since entering the sport of boxing.
In partnership with Turki Al Sheikh, Dana White and the TKO group formed Zuffa Boxing in 2025, the sports newest major promotion.
Zuffa Boxing have entered the space with fresh ideas that have sparked extreme controversy amongst the boxing world.
Dana White and Zuffa have publicly declared their desire to disregard the sports major governing bodies, these are the WBC, WBO, WBA, and IBF, with the idea of creating their own league with a Zuffa belt.
They intend to not co-operate with other promotions, and plan to monopolise the sport, following their successful methods in Mixed Martial Arts, where the UFC owns a large proportion of the market share.
In addition to this, Zuffa have attempted to abolish the Muhammed Ali act, a governed law in America to protect fighters best interests financially.
Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing and Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions are two of America’s leading promoters and have publicly disputed Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing.
De La Hoya has called out Dana White a number of times on his viral clap back Thursdays series.
At Zuffa Boxing’s second event on Sunday, Dana White has responded to the Golden Boy.
“Oscar is on a sinking ship and will not shut the f*ck up, this guy is fascinating”.
“He needs to get back on Only Fans to start paying his rent, my boys running out of money”.
“His ship is sinking very fast, and he’s talking shit all the way down”.
“Pay that 23 million dollars of rent you owe”.
It’s yet to be seen whether Oscar De La Hoya will respond to this latest insult in the ongoing promoter feud.
The rent jibe was clearly related to the news of De La Hoya defaulting on a $27 million commercial mortgage for an office building in Los Angeles.
De La Hoya’s broadcast partnership with DAZN is set to expire imminently, and with an ongoing legal dispute with Vergil Ortiz Jr, these are things he must resolve to compete with a powerhouse like Dana White.
