Dana White signs broadcast deal with Sky Sports

Zuffa Boxing and Sky Sports sign huge deal.

Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing has signed a broadcast deal with Sky Sports.

The head honcho of the UFC’s Zuffa Boxing league has signed a monumental deal with Sky Sports, the British sporting powerhouse.

Sky Sports is home to entertainment from all over the world of sports, including the Premier League. However, after not renewing its contract with Ben Shalom’s BOXXER, Sky has been out of the world of boxing for almost a year.

But with this new signing with Zuffa, Sky is set to broadcast action from the pugilistic world once again, which will include at least five British-based shows a year.

The first Zuffa Boxing event set to be broadcast by Sky is the recently-announced clash between Andres Cortes and Eridson Garcia, which also includes an intriguing co-main event between Mark Magsayo and Feargal McCrory.

Zuffa and Sky will be revealing their fight schedule over the course of the next few weeks.

Speaking on the deal, Dana White stated, “The U.K. has played such a pivotal role throughout the history of boxing. The fans there are some of the most loyal and passionate in the world. When you talk about boxing in that region, Sky Sports has always been the home for legendary boxing fights. There’s no bigger or better platform to showcase the best boxing in the U.K.”

“This is a massive milestone for Zuffa Boxing”, the UFC boss concluded.

Over the years, Sky Sports has provided boxing fans with outstanding spectacles and featured the biggest names across the last few decades of British boxing.

On the 5th of April, Sky Sports will be featuring a stacked all-female bill in partnership with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, with the main event a unified lightweight throwdown between Caroline Dubois and Terri Harper.
