Dana White open to working with Oleksandr Usyk for last fight

White claims Usyk’s last fight could be under Zuffa.

The news last week that Oleksandr Usyk had vacated his collection of heavyweight titles was met with a sigh of relief by many, the reason being that it meant a change for the division.

This change meant that fighters who were ranked highly enough would be getting their opportunity to become champion, moving everything forward as a whole.

However, it also confirmed that the Ukrainian was reaching the end of his career, having stated that his next fight will be his “last dance”.

Whether that is the case or not, his potential opponent has been the subject of great discussion, with rumours going around that it could be Deontay Wilder.

The American appears to be the most likely candidate, though nothing has been made official.

That has not stopped people from talking about the potential matchup, though. Far from it. In fact, a few things in particular have already been said about it.

For example, Dana White has made a very interesting claim regarding the bout.

Yesterday, the UFC head made several claims of note, one of them being that he knows where the showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will be taking place.

This is something White has stated before, so while this is potentially very interesting, it isn’t anything we haven’t already heard.

Something else he stated, though, is particularly notable here.

Since Usyk chose to give up his world titles, there have been rumours that he could be signing with Zuffa Boxing. And while that has not been confirmed, White did give an intriguing response upon being asked if Usyk vs. Wilder could end up on Zuffa.

“Aything can happen”, White stated, regarding the query with a smile.
