Conor Benn names next two opponents he’s going to face

British star reveals preferred opponents for next two fights.

The Conor Benn story is an interesting one. Following his positive drug test for clomifene, the original date for his fight with Chris Eubank Jr. in October of 2022 was scuppered.

In the time he was banned from fighting in the United Kingdom, Benn ventured to America to outslug gritty Mexican Rodolfo Oroszo (who ironically ended up failing a test himself after the fight) and take the undefeated record of American contender Peter Dobson.

Once Benn was cleared to fight on British shores once more, the fight with Chris Eubank Jr. was swiftly rescheduled, with all the drama from the drug episode making the fight even bigger and even attracting a far more casual audience than it would have originally.

The first fight between the two was a shootout, with Eubank Jr. earning a unanimous decision in a bout that many hailed as the very best of 2025.

Their rematch in November was a far more one-sided affair, with Benn putting on a very disciplined boxing performance to outpoint Eubank Jr. and drop him twice in the last round.

Intrigue into what both men will do now has been very high, particularly for Benn, who has a number of options after moving down from middleweight.

There are a number of opponents for Benn in the welterweight division, but it’s clear that he wants the titles and the biggest names.

It has been reported that Conor Benn is in talks for a potential world title fight next and now we know more details on his exact plans.

In an interview with DAZN, Benn has named Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero and Ryan Garcia as the names he would like next.

Romero is the current WBA welterweight champion, while Garcia will be challenging Mario Barrios for the WBC title at welterweight.

“It’ll either be ‘Rolly’ in May–that’s what we’re workin’ towards: ‘Rolly’ in May–or [Ryan] Garcia June, July. Or maybe ‘Rolly’ in May and then Garcia in September”, said Benn before then saying, “It might be an exclusive. We’re workin’ on the ‘Rolly’ fight for May.”
