Conor Benn’s first fight under the ZUFFA Boxing banner has been revealed, as the Brit is set to return to welterweight.
Conor Benn (24-1, 14ko’s) first fight under the ZUFFA boxing promotion has been announced.
The man from Ilford has been in the headlines non stop in the past week, and that trend is continuing.
A shock move to ZUFFA boxing rocked the boxing world last Friday.
The Destroyer was signed to Matchroom Boxing and Eddie Hearn since debut, and the two had been inseparable ever since.
Hearn publicly supported Benn through the trials and tribulations of two failed drugs tests in the build up to the first scheduled Chris Eubank Jr fight in 2022.
A two and a half year battle to clear his name ensued, and it is believed that Hearn and Matchroom loaned Conor Benn hundreds of thousands of pounds to support him with this case.
This loyalty all seemed to be worth it in 2025 when Benn headlined The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium twice against arch rival Chris Eubank Jr.
Dominant victory in the rematch saw Conor Benn on top of the boxing world, and is now one of the sports global super stars.
Both Benn and Hearn had big world title plans for 2026 at welterweight, but Benn has decided to join the new kids on the block ZUFFA boxing and Dana White.
It has been widely reported that Conor Benn is receiving $15 million for a one fight deal with ZUFFA.
ZUFFA, who are financially backed by SELA and Turki Al-Sheikh, want to revolutionise the sport by disregarding other promoters and the governing bodies.
They are the lead promoters of the Ring Magazine event on April 11th at Tottenham, where Tyson Fury will face Arslanbek Makhmudov.
In breaking news, it has now been revealed that Conor Benn will face Regis Prograis in the co-main event on April 11th.
This will be Benn’s first fight at 147lbs in over three years.
Prograis is a seasoned veteran, with notable names on his record like Devin Haney, Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall.
