Chris Eubank Sr has given a worrying update on the health of his son Chris Eubank Jr ahead of his return to the ring in 2026.
Ahead of April 26 2025, Chris Eubank Sr made no secrets about his thoughts on the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn grudge match.
Terms like ‘disgrace’ were used, and Sr publicly stated that he would not attend the fight, and even stated that the fight would not go ahead.
His worries obviously come from a place of care for his son, and a year later, there is arguments to suggest he had a point all along.
In one of the most iconic moments in recent sporting history, Eubank Sr arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with his son in an emotional reunion.
What ensued was a 12 round Ring Magazine fight of the year war that Jr edged out on points.
However, he spent the immediate aftermath in the hospital.
Come November, it was time to do it again, and this time it was one brutal weight cut too many for Eubank Jr who was dropped twice and dominated by his arch rival.
Despite many calling for his retirement, Eubank Jr is set to continue, with a move back to super middleweight.

“He’s shot. He’s spent.
“The boxing authorities, the boxing experts, everyone can see it, but no one’s paying attention to it.
“And I’m not going to be a party to that.”
“It is traumatising. When you have a son, you love him.
“I may not like some of his ways, but I love him.”
“It’s traumatising.”
With Eubank Jr recently becoming a father to twins, maintaining his health long-term is of even more paramount importance.
