Chris Eubank Jr comeback opponent ‘agreed’

After having twins, Chris Eubank Jr is now ready to return to the boxing ring.

Many called for Chris Eubank Jr (35-4, 25ko’s) to retire last November.

The man from Brighton was on the receiving end of a one-sided beatdown by arch rival Conor Benn (24-1, 14ko’s) in the pairs eagerly anticipated rematch.

In the aftermath of the fight, Eubank Jr revealed he ‘went through hell and back’ to make it into the ring that night.

Many stated that the middleweight limit paired with an implemented rehydration clause were of extreme detriment to the health of Eubank Jr.

‘Next Generation’ has undergone a number of treatments since his recent defeat, and is adamant he will make a return to the ring in 2026.

The 36 year old will be moving back up to super-middleweight, a division that he has formerly challenged for the world title at.

A defeat to George Groves (28-4, 20ko’s) was Eubank Jr’s most notable fight at 168lbs.

Promoter Ben Shalom has revealed plans are in place for Eubank to return on PPV and an opponent has been revealed.

According to various sources, Chris Eubank Jr is expected to take on veteran Michael Zerafa (34-5, 22ko’s).

Zerafa was defeated via unanimous decision by Kell Brook back in 2018.

The Australian contender’s last outing ended in a no contest due to an accidental clash of heads.

Nonito Donaire (43-10, 28ko’s) has revealed that he is finalisng a deal to feature on the undercard of Eubank Jr’s return.

The former world champion has lost four of his last five fights, but at 43, he’s not ready to call it a day just yet.

Donaire has revealed to the Ring Magazine that he will be training alongside Zerafa, helping him prepare for his clash.

It is believed the fight will land in Australia.
