Caroline Dubois and Terri Harper make weight ahead of title clash

The WBC and WBO lightweight world championships are on the line this weekend.

Caroline Dubois and Terri Harper are going head-to-head tomorrow night at the top of a stacked Most Valuable Promotions card.

Dubois, the WBC women’s lightweight champion, tipped the scales at 134.3lbs, while WBO champion Harper came in at 134.6lbs.

With both women weighing in comfortably within the lightweight limit, all that’s left to do now is lace up their gloves.

Harper said: “It’s all about tomorrow, it’s not about the elbows, it’s all about the fists.

“It’s the weight I feel most comfortable at. I’m happy.

“I just told her I’m excited to punch her in the face.”

While Caroline Dubois stated: “A win is the most important thing, but I believe I win by knockout.

“I’ve grown, I’ve gotten big, I’ve gotten strong, I can’t wait.

“We’re here now, we’ve done the hardest part, which is making the weight, we’re here, we’re ready, we’re ready to fight.”

Dubois is set to put her 13-fight unbeaten record and WBC lightweight title on the line tomorrow night.

While Harper’s WBO belt is also at stake, the pair are equally driven by a personal grudge they’re looking to settle.

They have been embroiled in a heated feud, but will settle the score live on Sky Sports at Kensington’s Olympia.

Elsewhere, Ellie Scotney is defending her WBC, IBF and WBO women’s bantamweight titles against Mexico’s Mayelli Flores.

And Chantelle Cameron is fighting Michaela Kotaskova for the WBO championship at super-welterweight.
