British knockout artist added to Moses Itauma vs. Filip Hrgovic card

Heavy-handed Briton is added to Itauma-Hrgovic show.

Logic would usually dictate that the biggest men throw the biggest punches. This is easy to wrap your head around, as after all, more mass tends to equal more force that you’re hitting with.

Of course, this is the case more often than not, and that’s why whoever happens to be fighting, a heavyweight bout will always appeal to any boxing fan. Put simply, with the biggest punchers, there is always the heightened chance of a knockout.

There are, however, many examples of smaller fighters who were able to hit hard. In fact, a lot of smaller-weight fighters are amongst the hardest hitters in the sport’s history.

Naseem Hamed, Rubén Olivares, and (if you really want to go back a bit) Jimmy Wilde are just a few examples of this. But nonetheless, it will always be slightly jarring when a man who weighs in the lower reaches of 100 pounds stretches another man completely unconscious.

All in all, we are constantly reminded that any punch at any weight could switch a person’s lights out, especially when we watch fighters like Jack Turner.

Known as “El Terrier”, Turner (14-0, 13 KOs) is a 24-year-old from Liverpool who currently fights in the super-flyweight division, but has fought as high as lightweight.

The young Briton possesses ridiculous power for a man his size, having dropped or stopped every single fighter he has been in the ring with.

Starting his professional career with six consecutive first-round knockouts, it was announced the other day that Turner will be next appearing on the Moses Itauma vs. Filip Hrgovic undercard.

If you wish to see him in action, make sure to tune in on the 29th of August to see a brilliant main event with a fantastic undercard.
