British heavyweight title fight to reportedly feature amongst supporting cast.
On the 11th of April, Tyson Fury will be returning from a year-plus-long ring absence to fight the intimidating and big-hitting Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov.
Manchester’s former two-time heavyweight world champion will be headlining on streaming behemoth Netflix in a card that will be no extra cost to existing subscribers.
The chosen venue for the big-man spectacle is the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With a seating capacity of 62,850, the show is expected to be a sellout, with ‘The Gypsy King’ fighting in his native England for the first time since his trilogy contest with Derek Chisora in December of 2022.
That bout also took place at the Premier League football ground, and on that occasion, Fury was defending his WBC heavyweight title.
While there are no titles on the line for his clash with Makhmudov, there are undoubtedly big things that lie ahead for the winner. And with the main event bound to garner the attention of millions, there must be an intriguing supporting act to go with it.
Though we have yet to see an official announcement, reports state that the undercard is set to feature a British heavyweight title fight between defending champion Jeamie TKV (9-2, 5 KOs) and challenger Richard Riakporhe (19-1, 15 KOs).
The bout was rumoured after talks between TKV and Johnny Fisher broke down. Last time out, TKV was seen in his title-winning effort against Frazer Clarke in December, while Richard Riakporhe was seen demolishing the undefeated Tommy Welch on the undercard of the rematch between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn in November.
Riakporhe, a former cruiserweight world title challenger, will be having just his third fight at heavyweight, having moved up in weight in May of 2025 following his first career defeat to then-reigning WBO cruiserweight champion Chris Billam-Smith.
