British boxing legend names two men Moses Itauma would lose to

British former multi-weight champion names two men who would beat Itauma.

In the heavyweight division–and arguably in boxing as a whole–there is probably no hotter property (of any fighter his age, at least) than Moses Itauma.

The 21-year-old Briton has turned heads since he turned professional over three years ago, with the young heavyweight having dealt handily with all in front of him.

On the 29th of this month, his quality will truly be put to the test when he faces Filip Hrgovic for the vacant IBF heavyweight title. And ahead of that test, a British former multi-weight world champion has named two men he believes would defeat Itauma.

“[Daniel] Dubois is all wrong for [Moses] … He’s all wrong for Moses Itauma right now”, stated former three-weight titleholder Duke McKenzie to talkSPORT Boxing.

McKenzie cited Dubois’s superior experience and résumé, stating, “And you know, he’s beaten Hrgovic, Dubois. So, right now, I think stylistically, he’s all wrong for Moses Itauma.

“And also, I’ll throw into the mix [Agit] Kabayel … Alright, he might’ve just got the championship–a vacant title–the [WBC] belt handed to him [after Oleksandr Usyk vacated his unified crown], Kabayel, but he’s champion nonetheless. And you know, I think he’s kryptonite for Moses Itauma right now.”

Kabayel holds the WBC belt, while Dubois reigns as the WBO champion. Both them and Itauma happen to be under the same roof at Queensberry Promotions. And should Itauma defeat Hrgovic later this month, a unification bout with any of the three men should likely be easy to make.

An all-British battle between Itauma and Dubois is a likely fight for the near future. That is, if the former gets past his big upcoming test soon.

As is always the case, time will tell.
