BOXXER announce new long-term contract with fighter

Ben Shalom’s promotional outlet are entering a new chapter.

BOXXER are preparing for their first event under their new multi-fight deal with DAZN on August 8.

The highly anticipated rematch between Troy Williamson and Callum Simpson will take place at Leeds’ First Direct Bank Arena.

However, that is not the only exciting announcement that BOXXER have made recently.

This week, it was confirmed that former Youth Olympic bronze medallist Hassan Azim has signed a new long-term promotional deal.

The deal comes ahead of his tenth professional contest, which is scheduled on the undercard of Williamson-Simpson II.

Azim said: “I’m really pleased to be extending my deal with BOXXER.

“They’ve believed in me from the start, given me the platform to develop, and I feel like we’re only just getting started.

“I’m improving every time I step into the ring, and I know there’s a lot more to come.

“Right now, my full focus is on August 8. It’s another chance to show what I’m about and take another step forward towards where I belong.”

Azim, the older brother of Adam Azim, continues his professional journey under the BOXXER banner.

He returns to the ring next month against Jack Martin, in a scheduled eight-round contest.

BOXXER Founder and CEO Ben Shalom said: “Hassan is an exceptional talent and we’re delighted that he has committed his future to BOXXER.

“We’ve believed in him from the very beginning, and there’s no doubt he has all the ability to become a major force in the super welterweight division.

“He’s unbeaten, hungry and ready to make a statement.”
