Ben Shalom has provided an update on a legal case involving Sky Sports that is set to “shock the boxing world” once brought to light.
Ben Shalom’s BOXXER landed the major Sky Sports broadcast deal in 2025 after Matchroom Boxing’s move to DAZN.
BOXXER shows on Sky Sports included some of British Boxing’s most notable names, such as Chris Eubank Jr, Adam Azim, Ben Whittaker, Joshua Buatsi and more.
After the deal expiring in 2025, Ben Shalom had to move quickly, and his stable’s new home is the BBC, bringing boxing back to terrestrial television.
The journey is set to continue this bank holiday weekend as Lauren Price defends her WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO welterweight world titles against Stephanie Pineiro at a sold out Utilita Arena in Cardiff on BBC Two.
Last summer, Ben Shalom and BOXXER began legal proceedings over a confidential matter.
Speaking to the Stomping Ground, Ben Shalom has provided an update on this situation.
Shalom stated: “I can’t talk too much on that”.
“We had to put an injunction in, we was successful, and then what came out of it was madness to be honest”.
“The court have had to involve Sky”.
“Things will come out, this will shock not just boxing, but sport and business”.
“The stuff that was going on was off the scale, and thankfully via going down the correct route we was able to find out some of what was going on”.
“It is absolutely crazy”.
Boxing King Media recently reported that their is a story set to turn British boxing upside down.
When asked about whether this is that story, Ben Shalom stated:
“I’m refraining from speaking at the moment, because it is subject to legal process, it is going to come out anyway”.
“If it is then it probably is, I couldn’t believe it”.
“To see it all unfold in black and white is absolutely mad”.
“I don’t want to talk cryptically, it will be revealed in due course”.
“The truth always comes out, and it is good to see”.
