Ben Shalom has shared an update on his relationship with Chris Eubank Jr as the star announced his free agency on social media.
Just two years ago, Chris Eubank Jr had his first fight as a part of Riyadh Season.
In true Eubank Jr style, he didn’t mince his words when sat on the top table at the press conference.
‘Next Generation’ went on a passionate rant labelling promoters Eddie Hearn, Frank Smith, Frank Warren and Kalle Sauerland as scumbags.
So naturally, outside of Ben Shalom and BOXXER, there wasn’t very many to choose from.
One thing that stood out when the announcement was made was that it was labelled ‘a partnership’, and not ‘a promotional deal’.
What the difference truly means was unknown at the time, but its starting to appear more clear now.
Ben Shalom and BOXXER were well and truly by Eubank Jr’s side in a 2025 that involved two of the biggest fights in British boxing history.
Two fights against arch rival Conor Benn packed out the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and even won Ring Magazine fight of the year.
It sent Eubank Jr’s stardom to another level, but many believe the two fights have taken the best out of the 36 year old.
The man from Brighton has now had twins, but retirement is not on the radar, and a return at super-middleweight is next.
Eubank Jr took to X recently to reiterate free agency, and Ben Shalom has responded to this by stating:
“I’m not going to say much because I do get on with Chris, but we do have an agreement with Chris”.
“That’s all I will say about it at the moment, it won’t get messy”.
It is believed Eubank Jr’s next fight will be down under in Australia against Michael Zerafa.
