Anthony Joshua has signed a two fight deal with Turki Al-Sheikh.
Big breaking news today as Anthony Joshua (29-4, 27ko’s) and Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24ko’s) are officially signed to fight each other this year.
It was common news that Team Joshua were negotiating a two fight deal with Turki Al-Sheikh and SELA.
This deal included a warm-up fight this July.
With the contract now signed, Turki Al-Sheikh has revealed that Anthony Joshua will face Kristian Prenga (20-1, 20ko’s).
Despite having an impressive record, the Albanian has never tested himself at world level.
At age 35, this opportunity is a once in a lifetime for Prenga.
What he does have however is a 100% knockout ratio.
This is a test that AJ should come through, but there certainly is jeopardy.
What is the other side of this fight is the biggest fight in British boxing history.
Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua sharing a ring has been something sports fans have desired for over a decade now.
We have been close to seeing it before, but never this close.
This comeback fight will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on July 25th, promoted by Matchroom B0xing.
In the press release, Anthony Joshua stated:
“It’s no secret I’ve taken some time to consolidate and rebuild to be ready for stepping back in to the ring and today is the next step on that journey”.
“I am delighted to have agreed a multi fight deal starting with July 25th in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia”.
“I’m looking firward to competing and picking up where I left off”.
“As I said. The landlord will collect his rent. That is certain”.
So here we are, one Anthony Joshua victory away from the fight we have all wanted.
