The 36-year-old is working with some of the biggest names in the sport.
Anthony Joshua was in London this evening for the official launch press conference of his long-awaited clash with Tyson Fury.
Joshua dropped a major hint about the make-up of his training team ahead of the December 11 showdown.
He confirmed he has reunited with Ben Davison, Fury’s former trainer, for the fight.
However, Joshua is also receiving advice from someone with an even closer connection to his opponent.
The Londoner revealed he is in regular contact with Peter Fury, Tyson’s uncle and former coach.
The 58-year-old will not officially join Joshua’s team but has been offering advice throughout his preparations.
Joshua explained: “I speak to Peter Fury.
“He’s willing to help me as well. Yeah, I’ll speak to him.
“I last spoke to him about a month ago. I speak to Matty Harris quite a lot, and he is trained by Peter, so that’s how it all came about; through Matty and Peter.”
He added: “[Peter] has given me some good ideas about our training and our approach, how I can approach this fight and where I can improve.
“Everybody wants me to win, and everybody’s going to tell me how to win, but the most important person to listen to is myself at this point in my career.
“I’m going to take everything with a pinch of salt.
“Going to Ben and Peter is not so much because they have worked with Fury before, but because they can pinpoint things.
“What I’ve got to do is take control of my fight with Fury, but also add their touch.
“And with these two powerhouses coming together, I think it will be a match made in heaven. I do believe that.”
Peter Fury played a key role in his nephew’s career, training Tyson for almost six years.
The pair then officially parted ways in 2017.
