Anthony Joshua reveals list of potential opponents after Tyson Fury clash

Joshua reveals list of potential opponents.

The entire boxing world is crossing their fingers that after Anthony Joshua’s bout against Kristian Prenga next month, the British superstar will be all set to take on his immensely popular countryman Tyson Fury in a bout that will undoubtedly bring U.K. fans together like few times before.

That, of course, is heavily dependant on Joshua actually beating Prenga, an unfancied Albanian who has yet to hear the final bell in victory, but who has not faced many foes of real note.

The jump Prenga will be taking, then, in his level of opposition is much like an astronaut’s leap on the Moon. But as fans, we know that any fighter can get knocked out by any other fighter when it comes to the heavyweights.

But given that the Fury fight is on the line, Joshua losing his match in July would be particularly disastrous. But ahead of his next assignment, Joshua has looked past not just the Prenga fight, but also the Fury fight, giving a list of opponents he could face after the all-British blockbuster.

“With me and Fury, it can’t be the only one,” Joshua told The Ring, “because I know if I stay around long enough, there’s the rematch with Daniel Dubois, there’s a potential Fabio Wardley fight.

“There’s the Agit Kabayel fight out there, providing he becomes champion. How big that would be. There’s an [Moses] Itauma fight, as he’s coming up the rankings. There’s still the Deontay Wilder fight out there.

“These are gonna be massive fights, so Fury’s just another number. And I’m trying to say I don’t put him on any pedestal; he isn’t above anyone.

“They’re all in my way, all on the same level. I’m not putting him above anyone.”

All very exciting options, and no fan would object to a single one of them. It all starts by getting past Kristian Prenga first, though.
