The accident took place Ogun State, near Lagos, when a Lexus SUV collided with a stationary truck on a major expressway.
Anthony Joshua was soon taken to a hospital to recover as they performed checks and treatment after the accident.
As more and more details emerged, it was revealed that Joshua’s close friends Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele had unfortunately passed away in the accident.
Sina Ghami was the full-time sport and exercise rehabilitation coach for Anthony Joshua and they had worked together for more than 10 years.
Latif “Latz” Ayodele was the personal trainer of Joshua.
Both men were buried this past weekend in London.

And now Joshua, back home in England, has taken to Instagram to pay tribute to his two close friends.
“Thank you for all the love and care you have shown my brothers. I didn’t even realise how special they are.
“I’ll just be walking with them and cracking jokes with them, not even knowing God kept me in the presence of great men. 100% it’s tough for me, but I know it’s even tougher for their parents ❤️
“I have a strong mind, and I believe God knows their hearts. May God have mercy on my brothers 🙏🏾”
A beautiful and poignant message from the former heavyweight champion of the world.
As Anthony Joshua himself says, it’s tough for him but must be enough tougher for the parents and family of the two deceased men.
Everyone at Boxing King Media sends our condolences and support to their families at this very difficult time.
