Anthony Joshua makes first public appearance since tragic car crash

Anthony Joshua has been seen publicly for the first time since the tragic events that occurred in Nigeria last December.

Anthony Joshua (29-4, 26ko’s) has made an appearance in public for the first time since the tragic car crash in Nigeria that saw Joshua’s close friends Latz and Sina sadly lose their lives.

Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami were two of AJ’s closest friends and team members.

The tragic events that occurred in Nigeria have understandably had a significant affect on the former two time heavyweight champion of the world.

Just a number of days before the tragic incident, Joshua had his first fight in over 15 months, in one of the sports biggest events of the calendar year.

AJ knocked out Jake Paul in brutal fashion in a main event that was watched by over 33 million people live on Netflix.

This event sent Joshua right back to the summit of the sport commercially, and team AJ had massive plans for 2026, with the long-awaited Tyson Fury fight the desired fight for Joshua.

The Watford born superstar is rightly being given time to process and recover from what he went through in December, and the boxing world continues to share their thoughts to everyone impacted by the tragic events in Nigeria.

Joshua has been spotted publicly for the first time since, in a viral Tiktok clip.

AJ was seen visiting young aspiring footballers on a football pitch in England.

Joshua was seemingly in good spirits, as the role model he is, Joshua greeted all of the footballers with high fives, fist pumps, and taking photos.

It is unknown the time-scale of recovery for Joshua both physically and emotionally.
